WesBank has announced its continued sponsorship of SA Auto Week for the third consecutive year, reinforcing its commitment to South Africa’s automotive industry. This year’s event, organised by naamsa | The Automotive Business Council and scheduled to take place from 15 to 18 October at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), coincides with the 100-year celebration of South Africa’s automotive industry.

The centenary event, themed ‘’Reimagining the Future, Together: Celebrating Automotive Heritage, Passion, Resilience, and Ingenuity,” will honour the country’s rich automotive legacy while looking ahead to future innovations. As a key fixture in South Africa’s Transport Month, SA Auto Week also highlights the importance of building a sustainable and inclusive transport future for all.

WesBank is also sponsoring the naamsa Accelerator Awards, which will once again be at the conclusion of SA Auto Week on Friday, October 18, 2024, at an exclusive gala to recognise excellence and innovation within the industry. Through this sponsorship, WesBank reaffirms its dedication to advancing the automotive sector and strengthening its role as a trusted life partner for its customers and industry stakeholders for over 50 years.

“The third instalment of SA Auto Week aims to pay tribute to the resilience, passion, and ingenuity that have defined South Africa’s automotive industry over the last century, while also promoting collaboration and innovation for the future. These objectives closely align with WesBank’s mission to provide innovative mobility solutions for shared prosperity,” said Ghana Msibi, CEO of WesBank.

“Our continued sponsorship of SA Auto Week and the Accelerator Awards highlights our commitment to mobility solutions. As we celebrate this centenary of innovation, we remain focused on creating new opportunities for growth and shared success, with every journey marking the beginning of another inspiring chapter.

“Visitors to SA Auto Week are invited to ‘Reimagining the Future, Together’ by joining us at the WesBank lounge, in partnership with FNB, where you and your business can access the latest innovative solutions. Our team is ready to build relationships that will help clients grow their businesses with the right sustainability, vehicle, fleet, and asset finance solutions,” said Msibi.
