  • Family favourite: Compact all-wheel drive Discovery Sport line-up refreshed with Dynamic S and two new editions, plus curated options to maximise enjoyment of every family journey
  • Discovery Sport Metropolitan: Luxurious new flagship inspired by its Discovery Metropolitan sibling, with exclusive design details and advanced tech features
  • Discovery Sport Landmark: Versatile edition pays tribute to Discovery’s rich history with ingenious practicality-enhancing features inside and out
  • Curated options: New accessory packs for Beach Days, Road Trips and Snow Days join Biking Adventures and For Dogs, maximising Discovery Sport’s individuality, versatility and practicality

Discovery has given its versatile and family-friendly compact SUV added appeal. The whole Discovery Sport range now comes with more dynamic looks and higher specifications, including two new editions: Metropolitan and Landmark.

The latest Discovery Sport line-up, which starts with the visually-enhanced Dynamic S, introduces fresh alloy wheel designs as well as new curated option packs, making it easier than ever for family buyers to choose a distinctive-looking Discovery Sport that meets their needs.

Joelle Taylor, Head of Discovery Strategy, Product and Services, said: “Discovery Sport’s compact dimensions belie its outstanding interior space and exceptional seven-seat versatility, making it the perfect companion for family adventures all-year-round – which we know come in all shapes and sizes. And, all weathers. Alongside this ingenious practicality, Discovery Sport now feels more dynamic, more luxurious and more individual than ever, with the introduction of our new Metropolitan and Landmark editions, and additional accessory pack options.”

Available with up to seven seats, Discovery Sport’s versatile and spacious interior ensures generous room and comfort for all, and up to 24 possible seat configurations, with a sliding and reclining second row and a flexible load area of up to 1,794 litres* for all that family life can throw at it.

Finely crafted, tactile materials create a luxurious cabin, while the interior is bright, spacious and airy with stadium-style seating for optimum visibility in all three rows.

Discovery Sport Metropolitan

The new flagship Discovery Sport Metropolitan emulates its bigger Discovery Metropolitan sibling with design cues that highlight the brand’s compelling blend of luxury and versatility.

On the outside, the Metropolitan edition is distinguished by Atlas Silver Discovery script on its bonnet and tailgate, and Indus Silver finished front and rear undershields. The front grille features a distinctive silver foil insert, while Metropolitan branded treadplates are revealed when the doors are open. It also has new 20‑inch Diamond Turned multi-spoke alloy wheels, optionally available with a Gloss Black finish.

Inside, the Metropolitan features Windsor Leather with 14-way electrically adjustable heated and cooled seats and a host of extra comfort and convenience features. These include a 650W 14-speaker (plus dual-channel subwoofer) MeridianTM Surround Sound System, ingenious Clearsight Rear View Mirror1 for enhanced rearward visibility – even with a car full of people and pets – and Cabin Air Purification Plus to create a travelling environment that’s a breath of fresh air.

Discovery Sport Landmark

The Landmark name celebrates Discovery’s rich history, earned across more than 35 years of adventure. The Discovery Sport Landmark is identified by the mountain range logo that was first seen on the original 1989 Discovery. For Discovery Sport this instantly recognisable logo appears on the aluminium treadplates, alongside Landmark script. At night, the familiar logo illuminates on the ground when unlocking the vehicle, with puddle lights projecting from the underside of the door mirrors.

The Landmark edition highlights the exceptional versatility of the Discovery Sport range, with slide and recline functionality for the second row seats and a panoramic roof to create a light and airy cabin. Click & Go media holders keep the family in the second row entertained, while a Surround View Camera aids manoeuvring and roof rails maximise versatility.

Dynamic S

The Dynamic S ensures every Discovery Sport features a dynamic and purposeful look, with Gloss Black lower body sides and Discovery script in addition to the Gloss Black grille, wheel arches, lower bumpers and front claw detailing, amplifying its purposeful stance.

Every Discovery Sport – including Dynamic S – features a digital instrument cluster and steering wheel-mounted gearshift paddles as standard, while the centre console has an elegant floating 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen.

The latest Pivi Pro infotainment set-up features permanently accessible sidebars, which provide shortcuts to key vehicle controls and functions, such as media, volume, climate and navigation. This allows users to access up to 90 per cent of tasks within two taps from the home screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay2 and Android Auto3 also feature as standard for the ultimate connectivity and convenience.

Curated optional accessories for every adventure

Discovery Sport is a much loved-family member designed for clients to explore their world. An expanded selection of curated accessory packs help Discovery Sport owners make the most of every journey, from spontaneous days out to holidays and weekends away.

New packs for Beach Days, Road Trip and Snow Days join existing Biking Adventures and For Dogs packs, enabling families to tailor their Discovery Sport to suit the demands of their individual lifestyle pursuits.

The Beach Days pack is perfect for a run to the coast, with a centre armrest cooler for food and drink on the go and tailored sunshades helping keep the cabin cool when parked in the sun. A collapsible organiser for the load area keeps loose items tidied away after a busy day at the beach.

The Road Trip pack includes Click & Go media holders for rear seat occupants to keep them entertained. Cross bars and a roof box bring extra luggage capacity for long haul trips.

For Snow Days, Discovery Sport’s winter capability is realised. Up to four pairs of skis or two snowboards can be transported easily, using a Ski and Snowboard Carrier and Cross bars on the roof rails4. Inside, rubber floor mats help protect the carpet from wet, snowy boots and shoes. To help get you to the piste with the minimum of fuss, the Snow Traction System provides extra grip and reassurance in slippery conditions.

Advanced and efficient powertrains

The all-wheel drive Discovery Sport continues to offer a range of efficient plug-in electric hybrid and mild hybrid electric propulsion options, delivering responsive performance. For the electric hybrid, a WLTP range of up to 61km means up to 90 per cent5 of average daily journeys are achievable in pure electric mode. And with DC rapid charging capability, a 0-80 per cent charge is complete in as little as 30 minutes6.

Ingenium petrols and diesels complete the line-up. Across both fuel types, advanced mild hybrid electric technology provides smooth operation of the start-stop function for composed urban driving, with the 48-volt system boosting performance and economy.

The Discovery Sport is available to order priced from  R1,362,900. Configure yours now at  www.landrover.co.za/discovery/discovery-sport/index.html
