  • New C3 Aircross SUV is the second model for SA on the Citroën C-Cubed programme
  • Clever, comfortable, and cool with unrivalled value in class
  • SUV versatility with muscular design and high driving position
  • Turbocharged PURETECH 1.2 litre, 3-Cylinder engine
    • Power: 81kW @ 5500rpm
    • Torque: 205Nm @ 1750-2500rpm
    • 6-speed automatic
  • 5+2 seat option offering excellent interior space

The new Citroën C3 Aircross SUV follows the exciting new C3 as the second model for the local market on the C-Cubed programme. Offering bold SUV versatility with muscular design and a class-leading drivetrain, the C3 Aircross represents excellent value in the segment. It’s simply clever, comfortable, and cool!  The C3 Aircross SUV will be available in three specification levels:

  • MAX 1.2 Turbo 81kW 6AT
  • MAX 1.2Turbo 81kW 6AT 7-seater
  • PLUS 1.2 61kW 5MT (Q4 2024 launch)

Citroën’s family B-SUV offers comfort and versatility for up to seven people. The popular compact cross-over segment is aimed at the middle-class family, requiring space and practicality for children-friendly adventures, whilst still serving up a stylish package of innovation and safety for young executive parents. The Citroën C3 Aircross is the only SUV to offer third row seating and packs a host of technology in typical Citroën comfort in a compelling value proposition.

Unmistakably Citroën, the new C3 Aircross SUV is a tough and distinctive SUV available in five-seat configuration as standard with the option of a seven-seat version. The 5+2 seating configuration offers increased versatility, while also allowing the additional seating to be easily removed.

The additional seating capacity makes the C3 Aircross SUV one of only a couple of 7-seaters at the price point while still offering attention-grabbing design, great performance, and the latest technology to make it much more than just a practical SUV.

BOLD PACKAGING FOR VERSATILITY

Key to the success of Citroën’s C-Cubed programme is the collaborative effort between regional Citroën teams and the company’s designers and engineers. Specifically for New C3 Aircross SUV, this involved thorough research into the physical conditions of the intended markets, and extensive conversations with customers to ensure it fully meets their wants and needs. The New C3 Aircross SUV manufactured in India was developed for warm climates and harsh roads and was tested extensively in South Africa to ensure it meets local driving conditions.

The result is a unique package families will appreciate, combining distinctive signature Citroën brand design markers with pure SUV attributes in a muscular and eye-catching vehicle that represents great value. It fully embraces comfort and well-being for everyone through outstanding spaciousness, modular versatility and space to carry up to five or seven people in serenity. It comes with high levels of equipment and technology, including seamless connectivity on the move.

New C3 Aircross is a 4.32m long family B-SUV with a sharp, expressive design that inspires confidence. It features 17” alloys, an assertive front face with a high bonnet, wide track width, Citroën Y-shaped lighting signature and powerful double grille with lower skid plate to deal with varying road conditions and maximise cooling. In silhouette, it stands out with among the best 200mm ground clearance, muscular wheel arches with large wheels and tyres, and resilient protective cladding.  There are four colour options and six eye-catching dual-tone roof combinations to choose from.  Both metallic paint and the dual-tone roof option are included in the recommended retail price of all Citroën models.

The wide C-pillar adds strength to the body, while neat rear quarter windows add to the feeling of light and space for passengers. Windows and long rear doors enhance the feeling of height, light, and visibility, and allow easy access to the rear rows of seats.

SAFE AND FUN TO DRIVE

Citroën’s passion to ensure drivers and occupants enjoy unrivalled safety and on-board comfort is evident in every detail of the New C3 Aircross SUV; the spacious cabin benefits from tuned suspension that maximises comfort and minimises body roll in over varying road surfaces. The Citroën-tuned steering and turning circle provide enhanced agility and easy manoeuvring in urban traffic conditions. Even the underbody structure and approach angles have been engineered to ensure that New C3 Aircross SUV can tackle rough and uneven road surfaces with ease. Standard safety specification includes front airbags, ABS, EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) on the turbocharged versions, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill-hold assist, rearview camera and PDC.

Both C3 Aircross MAX and MAX7 are powered by Citroën’s acclaimed 1.2-litre tubocharged PureTech three-cylinder engine delivering an impressive 81kW at 5500rpm and class-leading 205Nm between 1750 and 2500rpm. Mated to a high performance six-speed torque converter automatic transmission, the New C3 Aircross SUV delivers a combined cycle fuel consumption of only 6.3 l/100km.

SPACIOUS, COMFORTABLE, AND VERSATILE WITH LOADS OF FEATURES

New C3 Aircross SUV is particularly roomy. The five-seat version offers generous kneeroom for rear seat passengers and a 444-litre boot makes sure nothing gets left behind. The seven-seater version adds intelligent modularity for multiple uses, including a third row of two individual seats. These can be folded down or removed individually when the family needs to balance room for passengers with up to 511 litres of boot capacity.

Supremely comfortable seats combined with a powerful air-conditioner makes long journeys a breeze. In the seven-seat version, a unique ventilation module mounted into the roof panel ensures all passengers are comfortable on those hot South African summer days. Thoughtful storage solutions throughout include cup holders that double as smartphone holders and USB ports.

Up front, the eye-catching instrument panel features a unique soft-touch grain across the middle. The New C3 Aircross SUV comes with a seven-inch TFT (colour thin-film transistor) cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen – among the largest in this class – sits centrally and provides access to key infotainment and connected services, including mirroring capability for access to apps using Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto.

PEACE OF MIND

The new Citroën Aircross SUV will be covered by Citroën’s standard 5 year / 100,000km warranty as well as a 4 year or 60,000km Service Plan.  Moreover, Citroën owners are covered by the Stellantis WePledge programme which includes:

  • Mobility guarantee for vehicles under warranty with OE parts and technical diagnostic unavailable within 48 hours.
  • Security detail dispatched on request for people feeling unsafe in area of breakdown.
  • Mobility guarantee for vehicles under warranty awaiting OE Parts and OE Technical Support after 30 days at an approved repairer.
  • Quality Check Certificate – Provide accident repair quality check certificate to assure manufacture standard.

CITROËN REGIONAL BUSINESS AMBITION

The Citroën C3 Aircross SUV is intelligently created with regional input to meet the specific needs of customers in South Africa. This new SUV and the New C3 introduced in 2023, represent key steps in Citroën’s international growth strategy, under which the brand is targeting 30% of its global vehicle sales to be in the regions and markets outside of Europe by 2025.
