PEUGEOT is optimising its iconic PEUGEOT E-208, the best-selling model in Europe in the electric B segment last year. Already awarded and recognised for its exceptional efficiency, the PEUGEOT E-208 now offers the best range in its segment, and introduces further benefits such as an integrated Trip Planner, and Vehicle to Load (V2L) capability allowing easy charging for small electrical devices.
2024 saw the PEUGEOT E-208 take the top spot, as the best-selling model in the 100% electric B segment in both France and Europe. To continue this success story, PEUGEOT is now bringing several upgrades to the PEUGEOT E-208…
The PEUGEOT E-208 now offers the best electric range in its segment with up to 433 km (WLTP combined cycle) for the version equipped with the 156 hp (115 kW) engine, an improvement of 23 km. This development reinforces the model’s status as a benchmark in efficiency, reaffirmed during the 2024 Ecotest conducted by the prestigious ADAC, which named the PEUGEOT E-208 the most efficient car on the European market.
To ensure total peace of mind for its customers, PEUGEOT now equips the PEUGEOT E-208 with a Trip Planner. Combined with the connected navigation system (available as option), this feature optimally plans routes to maximize the car’s range and facilitate recharging. To calculate the ideal route, the system takes into account the distance to be traveled, the battery’s charge level at departure, the desired battery charge level upon arrival, and the available charging stations near the destination, considering energy consumption based on various criteria such as speed, traffic, type of road, and elevation.
The introduction of the ‘80% charge limit’ feature, available in AC, also allows the charge level to be adapted to daily use.
The PEUGEOT E-208* is now equipped with the pre-installation for the V2L function which offers the possibility of powering an electrical device via the car’s high voltage battery. For example, to charge an electric bike or operate mobile lighting. The bidirectional adapter allows external equipment to be powered via the charging inlet and can provide up to 3,5kW and 16A. The adapter is available as an accessory at PEUGEOT dealerships.
All new PEUGEOT 208 models benefit from the following content:
- A new multifunction video camera which enhances safety by extending the detection area of Automatic Emergency Braking for better consideration of cyclists and pedestrians.
- A new body color, Okenite White (which replaces Ice White), now available on the full line-up.
- New product classification for hybrid engines. The HYBRID 100 hp and HYBRID 136 hp become the HYBRID 110 hp and HYBRID 145 hp to reflect the total combined power of their gasoline engine and electric motor. PEUGEOT is thus anticipating a requirement of the Euro 7 standard.
All PEUGEOT 208 models will retain the qualities that make this model successful: an athletic design that incorporates PEUGEOT’s new light signature, enhanced driving pleasure with an ever more technological PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, and a complete range of engines to meet all needs (Petrol 100 hp, Hybrid 110 hp and 145 hp, Electric 136 hp/100 kW and 156 hp/115 kW).
