Hyundai Motor Company announced global sales of 369,132 units in March 2024, a 3.7 percent year-over-year decrease.

While the brand witnessed solid sales momentum in North America, Europe, and India, sales outside South Korea decreased slightly by 0.7 percent in March to 306,628 units.

In South Korea, Hyundai Motor sold 62,504 units in February, a decrease of 16.1 percent compared with the same month last year.

Hyundai Motor’s SUV models collectively sold 21,979 units in the domestic market last month, while the Genesis luxury brand maintained solid momentum, with sales of 11,839 units.

Hyundai Motor sold more than 19,000 units of its EV models in March worldwide, proving that the company is solidifying its electrification leadership in the global market.

To cope with business uncertainties, Hyundai Motor plans to strengthen its production and sales system to suit demand and respond flexibly to changes in regional markets. The company also plans to enhance electrification leadership by launching competitive new models and expanding its EV lineups.

In late March, Hyundai Motor earned recognition for its EV leadership with its IONIQ 5 N high-performance EV winning the 2024 World Performance Car at the World Car Awards in New York. The win builds on momentum established by IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6, which took back-to-back triple victories in 2022 and 2023 in the World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and World Car Design of the Year categories.
