ISUZU claims coveted double win at naamsa Accelerator Awards

ISUZU Motors South Africa (IMSAf) is thrilled to share its recognition at this year’s Accelerator Awards, conferred by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (naamsa). At the glittering event, ISUZU walked away with not one, but two esteemed awards, marking a triumphant night for the company.

At the annual naamsa Accelerator Awards last month, which marked the end of SA Auto Week, ISUZU was celebrated as a trailblazer in the automotive industry, capturing the hearts of the industry and solidifying its position as a frontrunner. The evening was an occasion of jubilation and pride, as ISUZU scooped up highly coveted titles of ” Most improved BBBEE Compliant Manufacturing OEM of the Year,” and “Medium Commercial Vehicle of the Year” for its exemplary ISUZU N-Series trucks.

Billy Tom, President of ISUZU Motors South Africa, expressed his delight, “This momentous achievement has left ISUZU delighted and honoured by the recognition from our peers and the industry at large. These accolades serve as a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence, quality, and sustainable business practices, making us stand out in a highly competitive market.”

ISUZU’s triumph in the Medium Commercial Vehicle of the Year category demonstrates a deep-seated commitment to transformation and inclusivity. ISUZU’s commitment to empowering previously disadvantaged individuals and communities- as well as championing localisation – has allowed ISUZU to serve as a beacon of transformation in the industry.

“Winning these awards is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire ISUZU team. We take great pride in our commitment to manufacturing high-quality vehicles while simultaneously striving to improve economic empowerment and compliance. These awards are a symbol of our unwavering commitment to our customers and our people,” he says.

One of the highlights of the evening was the recognition of the ISUZU N-Series trucks as the “Medium Commercial Vehicle of the Year.” This award highlights the N-Series trucks’ incredible versatility, dependability, and performance, which have consistently delivered exceptional value to their customers.

“ISUZU’s accomplishments at the naamsa Accelerator Awards also highlight our dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We have invested significantly in developing vehicles with reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency, further solidifying our commitment to a cleaner and greener future,” he adds.

ISUZU continues to be at the forefront of the automotive industry, not only through innovation and product excellence but also by actively contributing to the growth and development of the South African economy.

The naamsa Accelerator Awards represent an essential event in the South African automotive industry calendar. This year’s awards garnered special attention from the automotive industry as they also included the best-performing new energy vehicles. It also cast its net wider than just sales to acknowledge and encourage the positive work done by vehicle brands to become more BBBEE compliant and to develop female leaders and the youth.
