In a powerful collaboration, the ISUZU Foundation and IRONMAN 4 the Kidz are proud to continue their joint efforts in strengthening support for 13 registered Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) in the Eastern Cape. The partnership, fuelled by the R158 000 funds raised from the prestigious ISUZU IRONMAN African Championship, ISUZU IRONMAN 70.3 Nelson Mandela Bay, and ISUZU Corporate Triathlon Challenge events, aims to make a significant impact on the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The funds raised through these events will be allocated towards crucial areas such as refurbishment of the charity homes, transportation fees, nutritional support, sports activities, medical expenses, and, where feasible, capital projects. This support ensures that the registered NPOs continue their vital work in providing essential services and opportunities for children facing various challenges.
Among the organisations receiving support are:
- Eastern Province Youth Care Centre: Focused on holistic childcare and development programs.
- Khayalethu Youth Centre: Providing care and intervention programs for street children.
- Children’s Haven MTR Smit: Creating conditions for optimum child development.
- Heatherbank: Offering structured education programs for children.
- Salem Baby Centre: Providing basic needs and economic empowerment for mothers.
- Oosterland Foundation: Empowering children with positive life experiences and skills.
