Qatar and Angola are two key markets where the SUV brand Jetour has secured a leading position, with similar success anticipated in many other territories soon.
Since its debut in the Angolan market in 2019, Jetour has introduced a range of models and consistently achieved record-breaking sales. This success is driven by its unique advantages, including spaciousness, affordability, and exceptional customer service. As a dominant player and industry leader, Jetour Angola has held the top spot in market share within the country’s SUV sector since 2021. It is also here that the Jetour X70 Plus was crowned as the Annual Best-Selling Model in 2023.
Despite only launching in Qatar as recently as 2023, Jetour has quickly risen to become the second most popular vehicle brand in the country. The Jetour Dashing and X70 Plus, and more recently the Jetour T2, have had a significant impact, securing a strong position in the market. Jetour’s rapid growth in sales and market share has made it a key competitor in Qatar’s SUV segment, where it continues to compete with and surpass the sales of many of the more established brands.
Globally, the brand has also won numerous accolades. In 2024, the Jetour Dashing was honored with the “Recommended Model” award by Chile’s Recomendados Autocosmo, as well as walking away with the “Best Design” and “Best 7-Seater Car of the Year” award for the X70 Plus in Egypt. Jetour was also recognised with the prestigious “2024 Red Dot Design Award,” further cementing its reputation for excellence in automotive design. This achievement is attributed to the work of Hakan Saracoglu, a former Porsche designer, who contributed to the design of several Jetour models.
These achievements, in both sales and accolades, highlight Jetour’s dedication to providing innovative, high-quality vehicles to customers worldwide. Globally, Jetour is rapidly expanding into new markets and accelerating its growth by introducing new models across the 65 countries where it operates, resulting in an impressive 83.9% increase year-on-year.
Locally, since Jetour launched in South Africa in September last year with its Dashing and X70 Plus models, the brand has sold over 2000 units.
With new models set to launch towards the end of this year, Jetour is expected to reach even greater heights and intensify local competition for established brands.
