These new appointments support the ongoing transformation taking place within the Nissan AMIEO region, targeting business growth and new revenue streams, while contributing to a cleaner, safer and more inclusive society.

Mayra González, currently Divisional Vice President Marketing & Sales Transformation AMIEO, is appointed Divisional Vice President Marketing & Sales Europe, the centre of the company’s electrification plans and where Nissan plans to launch four all-new 100% electric vehicles in the coming years.

González replaces Jordi Vila, who is appointed Divisional Vice President Africa, another strategic market for Nissan, home to two Nissan plants and where there is potential for significant business growth.

Vila replaces Joni Paiva, who is returning to Renault from May 1st after 11 successful years in Nissan, including leadership positions in the US, Canada and most recently in AMIEO.

With distribution partnerships becoming increasingly important to Nissan’s growth plans across multiple markets, Charbel Abi Ghanem, currently Managing Director for Nissan in Turkey (NOAS), is promoted to Vice President Independent Markets Europe, retaining his current responsibilities in Turkey. He replaces Sinan Ozkok, whose next assignment will be announced later.

Targeting new business opportunities and harnessing Nissan’s electric ecosystem vision, Guillaume Pelletreau, Region Vice President Electrification & Connected Services AMIEO, in addition to his current responsibilities is appointed to Region Vice President New Revenues and Marketing & Sales Transformation AMIEO.

Finally at regional level, Guillaume Barbet, currently Director Planning Car flow & Performance AMIEO, is promoted to Region Vice President Marketing & Sales Planning & Performance AMIEO.

“The AMIEO region is home to a diverse and dynamic team where we have laid strong foundations in recent years to capitalize on the significant changes taking place in the automotive industry,” said Guillaume Cartier, Chairperson, Nissan AMIEO.

“These appointments will strengthen the Nissan leadership team as we transform our business to secure further growth, develop new revenue streams and deliver a flawless customer experience as we prepare to launch even more innovative and exciting products across the region.”

Also announced today are leadership changes in five the major markets in the AMIEO region, including:

  • Diana Torres, currently Managing Director for the Nissan Importers Business Unit in Latin America, is promoted to Managing Director Nissan Motor Great Britain (NMGB).
  • Andrew Humberstone, currently Managing Director NMGB, is appointed to Managing Director Oceania. He replaces Adam Paterson who, is returning to Nissan Americas.

  • Saurabh Vatsa, currently Deputy Managing Director for Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd (NMIPL) is appointed to Managing Director Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd (NMIPL), replacing Rakesh Srivastava, who is retiring.

Cartier added: “Congratulations to all of my colleagues for their new assignments as we look forward to realising our Nissan Ambition 2030 vision. I would also like to thank Joni and Rakesh for their many years of strong service to Nissan and wish them every success for the future.”

Nissan’s Region Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing in AMIEO, Leon Dorssers, said: “I’m proud that we continue to promote talented individuals from within the organisation, creating a new era of Nissan leadership to address the rapidly evolving expectations of customers in our region and capitalise on the transformation taking place in the automotive industry.

“These changes are part of an overall organisation change striving for more agility, empowerment and efficiency, leveraging the diverse, multi-cultural strengths within Nissan.”

These appointments supporting growth in the AMIEO region support Nissan’s Ambition 2030 vision, the company’s long-term vision to become a truly sustainable company, driving towards a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive world.

In the coming years, Nissan will deliver exciting, electrified vehicles and technological innovations while expanding its operations globally. The vision supports Nissan’s goal to be carbon neutral across the life cycle of its products by fiscal year 2050.
