The MasterDrive team is taking on the Simola Hillclimb for the fourth consecutive year. Previous roles will be fulfilled including King of the Hill which will be entered by several members of the team. This year, MasterDrive will also be competing in Classic Car Friday.
MasterDrive’s participation in the Simola Hillclimb started four years ago during the pandemic when the event was unable to have spectators and was televised instead. The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says: “Since our initial involvement, where we drove the safety cars, our involvement has dramatically evolved.
“Our journey at the Simola Hillclimb has been nothing short of eventful. From the early days of pandemic restrictions to now, our commitment to safety as well as our passion for motorsport is unwavering. As we gear up for another thrilling year, MasterDrive is proud to be a part of its ever-growing success.”
The team looks forward to seeing the winner of the MasterDrive Driver Search, Shuaib Dhansay, compete in King of the Hill. “An important aspect of MasterDrive’s involvement is their commitment to bringing diversity to motorsport. This initiative helps break down barriers and open doors for new talent with a young driver joining the team.”
Herbert, and the Manager of Coastal Regions, Eugene ‘Gino’ Nourse, are also tackling King of the Hill. “With years of dedication and passion for motorsport behind us, it is a much-anticipated event for the team. We again expect it to be an all-time high as we go head-to-head with drivers from all over the world.
In another addition this year, MasterDrive will also grace the Classic Car event on Friday. “MasterDrive is now participating at every level at Simola Hillclimb. Additionally, for those craving the adrenaline rush without hitting the track themselves, MasterDrive offers a unique opportunity. VIP rides in the high-performance Audi RS6 provide VIP spectators with a taste of the racing experience – an ideal chance to feel the thrill of the Hillclimb firsthand.”
MasterDrive anticipates the electrifying atmosphere of the Simola Hillclimb this year, where speed meets spectacle! “The team is ready to take on new challenges and exceed expectations from the previous years,” says Herbert.
