The Garden Route’s most thrilling celebration of motoring excellence is back. The 2nd Santos Beach Auto Extremo, proudly presented by SCRIBS BENZeum and driven by MUA Insurance Acceptances (Pty) Ltd, takes place on Sunday, 7 September 2025 at the spectacular beachfront of De Bakke Santos, Mossel Bay.
This extraordinary one-day event brings together the elegance of retro classic sports cars and the raw performance of modern supercars — all against the breathtaking coastal backdrop that has fast earned Mossel Bay a place among the world’s top automotive show venues.
“All the great car shows in the world have one thing in common, and that is a beautiful backdrop. There is Villa D’Este on Lake Como, Pebble Beach in California — and now Santos Beach in Mossel Bay,” says Waldo Scribante, motoring enthusiast, President of the Mercedes-Benz Club of South Africa, and owner of the SCRIBS BENZeum.

Vehicle registration for retro classics and modern supercars also opens online on 4 July 2025. Exhibiting vehicles must arrive by 08:00 and be parked by 09:00 sharp.
Show-goers can enjoy curated food stalls, a festive beer garden by SAB, and a laid-back atmosphere under the trees — all while admiring iconic cars from around the country.
Franschhoek to Mossel Bay Tour
In the lead-up to the show, a two-day tour from Franschhoek to Mossel Bay on 5–6 September 2025 invites owners of classic and performance vehicles to join a scenic drive through the Western Cape — combining breathtaking roads with camaraderie and automotive passion.
A Motoring Experience with Heart
Organised by a passionate team led by Alewijn Dippenaar, Chairman of the Santos Beach Auto Extremo Organising Committee, the event also has a humanitarian aim. Proceeds will go toward supporting local chapters of international benefactor services, including the Round Table, Lions Club and NSRI (National Sea Rescue Institute) Mossel Bay.
