Timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Ford’s historic 1-2-3 finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966, the GT MkII pays homage to one of motorsport’s most celebrated achievements while confidently projecting CAV into a new era of innovation.
In the words of CAV’s Director and Product Architect, Jordi Reddy, “The moment deserved a fitting tribute: a modern interpretation of the MkII GT40 that captures the spirit of the original while delivering the refinement, usability, and performance expected of a contemporary supercar.”

Built around a carbon-fibre and aluminium monocoque, the GT MkII achieves an impressively low mass of 1 350 kg, underscoring a commitment to lightweight construction and dynamic excellence. The bodywork is fashioned entirely from carbon-fibre and features signature design cues including massive air intakes, circular taillights, and a dual-layer active Gurney spoiler that deploys at speed to support aerodynamic performance.
Beneath the sculpted body lies a powertrain engineered to deliver genuinely formidable performance. The headline specification is a 4,2-litre V8 fitted with twin superchargers, producing near 600 kW and 880 N.m of torque, with power sent to all four wheels through a six-speed semi-automatic transmission. This is performance presented with intent: abundant and immediate with a modern edge.
CAV has also positioned the GT MkII as a highly configurable, boutique offering. Buyers may specify naturally aspirated V8 or twin-turbo V10 alternatives, along with manual or dual-clutch transmission options, reflecting the company’s bespoke approach to customer engagement and product specification. Supporting hardware includes independent suspension at all four corners, three-way adjustable KW dampers, 8-piston Brembo braking, and optional carbon-ceramic discs for further mass reduction and braking confidence.

In parallel, and in the truest traditions of boutique car manufacturing, CAV is also offering extensive personalisation opportunities through an even more exclusive 60th Anniversary Limited Edition of the GT MkII. Only 40 will be built, each offering a “curated experience” for the lucky few. Expect precious metals, tailored interior treatments and a selection of distinctive liveries. Among them are “Miles Blue Metallic” and “Carroll Black Metallic”, both of which pay respectful tribute to the seminal figures and moments that shaped the GT40’s enduring legacy. Each build will reflect the preferences of its owner, reinforcing the GT MkII’s positioning as a highly individualized automotive statement.
