Hyundai Automotive South Africa is proud to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in multiple prestigious categories at this year’s National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA) Accelerator Awards.

The nominations span across a range of competitive categories, highlighting the brand’s versatile impact on the market; based on excellence, innovation and empowerment:

  • Passenger Car of the Year Award: Hyundai GRAND i10
  • LCV Biggest Achiever of the Year Award: Hyundai GRAND i10 Cargo
  • Passenger Dealer of the Year Award: Hyundai Pinetown
  • Passenger Dealer Achiever of the Year Award: Hyundai Amanzimtoti
  • Imported Vehicle of the Year Award: Hyundai GRAND i10
  • Transformation Category Award: Hyundai Automotive South Africa for Job Creator Importers Employment Award, Youth Empowering Importers Award as well as the Women Empowering Importers Award.

“These nominations are not just a reflection of our vehicles, but a recognition to the whole Hyundai Automotive South Africa family as well as our dealer partners,” said Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa.

“To be acknowledged across product, dealer and transformation categories is a phenomenal achievement and shows the strength of our holistic approach to doing business.  We are especially proud of the recognition in the Transformation Category, as it aligns with our mission to uplift and empower the communities we serve in a meaningful way.”

The Hyundai’s GRAND i10, one of the country’s most beloved compact cars, stands out with nominations in both the Passenger Car of the Year and Importer Vehicle of the Year categories.  The GRAND i10 Cargo, a practical and cost-effective light commercial vehicle, has also earned its place as a finalist in the LCV Biggest Achiever of the Year Award. Meanwhile, the nominations of Hyundai Pinetown and Hyundai Amanzimtoti dealerships reinforce our customer service excellence and operational performance, at a local level.

“These nominations inspire us to keep driving forward.  They motivate our teams to reach even greater heights and remind us that customer-first excellence as well as continuous service improvement, must remain at the heart of everything we do,” added Anderson.

The 2025 NAAMSA Accelerator Awards, known for celebrating innovation and transformation within the South African automotive industry, continue to be a benchmark of excellence.  The Awards will take place on Friday, 03 October 2025 in Gqeberha and will be attended by C-Suite Executives from the automotive industry, including Government leaders.
