Randburg’s Suzuki Strijdom Park was crowned South Africa’s top Suzuki dealership at the annual Suzuki Dealer Conference and Awards, held at Zimbali Lodge on June 24.

Designed to recognise the country’s highest-performing Suzuki dealerships and the people behind their achievements, the annual awards programme celebrates excellence across sales, service and parts operations. As the brand’s highest dealer honour, it remains a key benchmark that motivates dealerships to perform at their best throughout the financial year.

This year’s event was hosted under the theme Mission Suzuki, a concept built around the idea of collaboration driving shared achievement. Drawing inspiration from the teams at NASA’s Johnson Space Center that guided some of history’s most ambitious spaceflight programmes, Suzuki Auto South Africa adopted the role of mission control, supporting dealerships as they push toward new milestones in sales growth and customer satisfaction.

The relationship between Suzuki Auto South Africa (SASA) and its nationwide network of 123 dealerships mirrors the structure of a successful space mission. As Mission Control, SASA provides the strategic direction, operational support and resources needed to drive growth, while dealerships serve as the frontline teams translating that support into meaningful customer experiences through vehicle sales and aftersales care. Working together, both sides play an equally important role in strengthening the Suzuki brand and ensuring its continued momentum in the competitive South African market.

“Every great mission depends on having the right people behind it, and this event is our way of recognising the individuals and teams who continue to raise the bar for the Suzuki brand,” said Henno Havenga, GM of Auto Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa.

“The milestones we achieved in 2025, from record monthly sales volumes to growing our market share beyond 14.8% and securing our position as South Africa’s second-best-selling vehicle manufacturer, would not have been possible without the passion and commitment demonstrated by our dealer network across the country.”

Before revealing the overall winner, Suzuki Auto South Africa first recognised the dealers and individuals who stood out for exceptional performance, surpassing the high standards set across the network.

Platinum and Elite Dealers

Suzuki’s Platinum Award recipients were among the first to be recognised, with the honour reserved for dealerships that consistently perform strongly across key business areas, from customer service and parts availability to vehicle sales support and finance and insurance services.

This year’s Platinum Award honourees are:

  • Suzuki Alberton
  • Suzuki Bassonia
  • Suzuki Bedfordview
  • Suzuki Bloemfontein
  • Suzuki Boksburg
  • Suzuki Cape Town
  • Suzuki Clearwater
  • Suzuki Durban Central
  • Suzuki Edenvale
  • Suzuki Fourways
  • Suzuki Gezina
  • Suzuki Hermanus
  • Suzuki Hillcrest
  • Suzuki JHB South
  • Suzuki Kimberley
  • Suzuki Klerksdorp
  • Suzuki Montana
  • Suzuki Mossel Bay
  • Suzuki N1 City
  • Suzuki Nelspruit
  • Suzuki Paarl
  • Suzuki Polokwane
  • Suzuki Potchefstroom
  • Suzuki Queenstown
  • Suzuki Rivonia
  • Suzuki Rosebank
  • Suzuki Silver Lakes
  • Suzuki Stellenbosch
  • Suzuki Tableview
  • Suzuki Tygervalley
  • Suzuki Upington
  • Suzuki Vredenburg

While Platinum status reflects exceptional performance, Suzuki’s Elite Award winners represent the next level of achievement. These dealerships have distinguished themselves by consistently delivering outstanding results across all sales and service categories.

This year’s Elite Award recipients are:

  • Suzuki Brits
  • Suzuki Helderberg
  • Suzuki Kenilworth
  • Suzuki Kyalami
  • Suzuki Strijdom Park

Top Performing Individuals

Beyond recognising dealership performance, Suzuki also honours individuals who have excelled in their respective roles across various service categories.

Sudhir Moonilall of Suzuki Pinetown was honoured as Technician of the Year, while Deon Lombard of Suzuki Northcliff took home the title of Parts Manager of the Year.

Stephan Snyman of Suzuki Stellenbosch was named Sales Manager of the Year and Timothy Potgieter of Suzuki Hillcrest earned the award for Sales Executive of the Year.

Vischal Maharaj of Suzuki Umhlanga rounded out the list, receiving recognition as Service Manager of the Year.

Highest Sales

Prior to naming its Dealers of the Year, Suzuki Auto South Africa recognised the dealerships and dealer groups that delivered the strongest sales performances across its network.

The top three dealerships by sales volume were Suzuki Rosebank in third place, Suzuki Bassonia in second and Suzuki Fourways in first.

Among dealer groups, the IPOP Group – which includes standout performers like Suzuki Bassonia – emerged as the top-selling group overall.

Suzuki Windhoek was named Top Accessory Sales Dealer of the Year.

Dealers of the Year

Moving on to the overall awards, Suzuki Auto South Africa announced the top-performing dealers in each category.

Suzuki Upington was named Rural Dealer of the Year. Suzuki Brits earned the title of Small Dealer of the Year, while Suzuki Kenilworth was recognised as the top performer in the Medium category. Suzuki Strijdom Park claimed the award for Large Dealer of the Year.

After much anticipation, Suzuki Strijdom Park once again returned to the stage to receive the evening’s highest honour – being named Suzuki’s 2025 Dealer of the Year.

“We are incredibly proud of what our dealer network has achieved over the past year and grateful for the commitment shown by every team represented here tonight,” concluded Havenga. “While it is important to celebrate these milestones, our focus remains on building a business that continues to grow sustainably by supporting our dealers, strengthening customer relationships and ensuring the Suzuki ownership experience remains as rewarding as possible at every stage of the journey.”
