  • Tata looks to build on the momentum of their return to the South African market with an extensive product rollout in 2026.
  • Tata Motors South Africa plans to launch an additional two new models during the course of the year.
  • By the end of 2026 customers will have six modern Tata models to choose from to suit all customer needs.

Tata Motors South Africa returned to South Africa in 2025 with a range of four models that prioritise style, safety and value for money.

Thanks to an extensive and growing dealer network and an exciting model range that includes hatchback, coupé and SUV body styles, the brand quickly gained a foothold in the competitive local market.

Tata Motors South Africa looks to build on that momentum in 2026 with the launch of two new models that include the Tata Nexon (India’s best-selling SUV) and Tata Sierra during the year.

Tata Nexon

The Tata Nexon is a compact crossover that will join the range between the Punch and Harrier in terms of size. The Tata Nexon features similar styling to its SUV family members. Standout features include sequential LED daylight running lights, bi-function full LED headlamps and a dual tone roof.

The tech rich and spacious interior is distinguished by a two spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, a next-generation physical touch panel and a grand floor centre console.

As with the rest of Tata’s range, the Nexon makes no compromises when it comes to safety. Thanks to the fitment of equipment such as six airbags and electronic stability control, it achieved a five-star Global NCAP rating in 2024.

Tata Sierra

The Tata Sierra is set to join the range between the Curvv and top of the range Harrier when it launches in South Africa later this year. This brand-new model aims to offer a fresh and distinctive take on the medium SUV design concept.

The Tata Sierra is a bridge between the past, present and future as it blends nostalgia with cutting edge design and technology and represents Tata’s ability to offer vehicles that resonate emotionally while pushing the boundaries of innovation. The Tata Sierra was rewarded with a Red Dot award for its ground-breaking design, making it the first car in India to be recognised by Red Dot.

Exterior design highlights include Night Saber Bi-LED booster headlamps and Light Saber LED daytime running lights with welcome and goodbye functionality. At the rear, the Light Saber LED light signature is impossible to miss. Flush door handles and 19-inch alloy wheels reinforce the inherent luxury.

The interior is defined by Persona themed interiors, the segment’s largest sunroof and horizon view triple screens that stretch across the dashboard, creating one immersive experience. A wide variety of innovative storage areas and a segment leading boot space of 622 litres ensures inherent practicality.

TataMove

Tata’s entire local model offering is covered by TataMove, a comprehensive aftersales promise designed to give South African motorists absolute peace of mind long after they drive off the showroom floor.

TataMove is a customer-first ecosystem that brings together warranties, nationwide service coverage, roadside assistance, mobility solutions and OEM-certified repairs into one simple promise: Tata will always keep you moving.

TataMove has been designed as one of the most comprehensive aftersales support programmes in its segment, offering:

  • Five-year / 125 000 km vehicle warranty.
  • Five-year corrosion protection.
  • 24/7 roadside assistance.
  • 72-hour mobility solutions to minimise disruption.
  • Nationwide service centre coverage.
  • OEM-trained technicians.
  • Accredited repair facilities.
  • High-tech diagnostic equipment.
  • Xpress & Quick Service options.
  • Dedicated Customer Care hotline.

This integrated support framework will ensure that Tata owners receive fast, reliable assistance when required, whether they are in major metros or rural regions.

Beyond servicing and repairs, TataMove is designed around customer care as a relationship, not a transaction. The platform places strong emphasis on:

  • Transparency in servicing.
  • Fair repair practices.
  • Fast turnaround times.
  • Clear communication.
  • Proactive roadside and mobility support.
