Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is proud to announce its official title partnership with King of the Whip 2025, one of Southern Africa’s leading action sports events. This year’s edition takes place on Saturday, 29 November 2025 at the iconic Montecasino precinct.
King of the Whip is South Africa’s premier Freestyle Motocross event, having grown from humble beginnings in a small sand quarry in Northriding, Johannesburg, into a world-class spectacle now held at Montecasino. Since its launch in 2017, the event has expanded in scale, professionalism, and international appeal introducing Best Trick contests in 2019 and attracting top local and global riders. By 2024, King of the Whip cemented its place as the second biggest Best Whip contest in the world, delivering an unmatched action sports experience in Southern Africa.
With attendance capped at a sold-out 7,000 guests, King of the Whip continues to set the benchmark in local motorsport entertainment. The Montecasino venue elevates the event’s premium positioning through enhanced production standards and a dynamic spectator experience.
