  • aguar TCS Racing unveils its latest livery for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship – the team’s milestone tenth season.
  • The reveal comes on the heels of two major announcements: the appointment of new Team Principal Ian James and the signing of Portuguese powerhouse António Félix da Costa, the 2019/20 Formula E Drivers’ World Champion.
  • Da Costa will join Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans, who begins his tenth season with the team. Together, they’ve secured 14 Formula E victories – the most successful team-driver pairing in the championship’s history.
  • The Jaguar I‑TYPE 7, with its distinctive livery design, will be tested by both Jaguar TCS Racing drivers at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia from 27 October, ahead of a Women’s Test at the same track on 31 October.
  • Hardware and software technology proven on-track by Jaguar TCS Racing will transfer to the next generation of Jaguar all-electric road cars – previewed by the Jaguar Type 00.

Jaguar TCS Racing has today revealed its Jaguar I-TYPE 7 in a striking livery for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the team.

With new leadership and a refreshed driver line-up, the unveiling marks a bold statement of intent for the season ahead, as Jaguar TCS Racing prepares to take to the track for official pre-season testing in Valencia (27-31 October).

The latest livery is an evolution of the team’s signature look – sleek and unmistakably modern. The updated design retains the iconic black, white and gold palette, as well as the sharp contrasts and dynamic geometric elements that reflect Jaguar TCS Racing’s forward-thinking ethos. The Jaguar I-TYPE 7 is the most successful car of the GEN3 Evo era, claiming six victories for Jaguar TCS Racing and one win for customer team Envision Racing in Season 11.

The official pre-season test in Valencia marks the first public outing for Jaguar TCS Racing’s refreshed leadership and driver line-up, as newly appointed Team Principal Ian James joins forces with 2019/2020 World Champion António Félix da Costa and long-standing Jaguar driver Mitch Evans – who together boast the most Formula E race wins of any previous Formula E pairing. The trio’s first official outing in Valencia signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the team ahead of Season 11.

Entering its milestone tenth year with a record to date of 22 wins, a further 31 podiums and 1,638 points from 127 race starts, Jaguar TCS Racing heads into the new season looking to build on the momentum of an incredible 2024/25 campaign, finishing runners-up in both the FIA Teams’ and Manufacturers’ World Championships. With six wins – five of them in the final six races – the team delivered more race victories than any other season to date, showcasing its championship-calibre potential. The I-TYPE 7, now entering its second year in the GEN3 Evo homologation era, remains unchanged for the upcoming campaign.

Ian James, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal, said: “This season marks a fresh chapter for Jaguar TCS Racing. With a new driver added to our line-up and the final evolution of GEN3 machinery, we’re entering pre-season testing in Valencia with real momentum and focus. It’s the first step in what we believe will be another fiercely competitive year – and we’re ready to rise to the challenge.”

Mitch Evans, Jaguar TCS Racing driver, #9 said: “I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel and start putting the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 through its paces in Valencia. With the speed we showed in the car at the end of last season and a fresh team dynamic, we’re ready to give it everything and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”

António Félix da Costa, Jaguar TCS Racing driver, #13 said: “I’m really excited to begin my journey with Jaguar TCS Racing. The team showed incredible pace last season, and we’re all feeling motivated heading into this year. Valencia testing will be a key moment for me to get comfortable with the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 and start building that performance foundation – I’ll be pushing hard from day one.”

As the team enters its tenth season, Jaguar TCS Racing’s strong network of trusted partners continues to play a vital role in the team’s success both on and off the track. Title and Official Technology Partner, Tata Consultancy Services remains central to driving innovation and adaptability for the team, while long-standing collaborations with Dow, Castrol, Reflo and Alpinestars continue to deliver technical excellence and opportunities that offer more sustainable solutions across operations.

Jaguar TCS Racing is also delighted to welcome Chase to its partnership roster as its Official Financial Services Partner – another exciting collaboration that further strengthens its commercial and competitive edge ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

GEN3 EVO and the Jaguar I-TYPE 7

The GEN3 Evo era introduced new regulations for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, spanning Seasons 11 and 12.

New bodywork, all-wheel-drive capability for Qualifying Duels, the launch and ATTACK MODE phases of races, plus new Hankook iON tyres were changes for all teams.

As a manufacturer, Jaguar TCS Racing’s GEN3 Evo machine, the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 – introduced many new Jaguar-manufacturer perimeter parts when it made its debut at the beginning of Season 11. It showcased cutting-edge engineering with an all-new rear powertrain featuring a redesigned inverter, Motor Generator Unit (MGU), and transmission, homologated for the 2025/26 season, with the ambition of pushing performance to the next level.

Its reconfigured package has improved handling balance, aided by a lighter electrical ancillary system. Enhanced thermal management makes the MGU more efficient, while a newly developed rear suspension offered greater adaptability across diverse circuit conditions – providing precision, performance, and versatility.
