  • New Tiggo 7 Executive builds on the Tiggo 7 Prime with a more premium, family-focused specification while keeping the same design and 1.5-litre turbopetrol drivetrain.
  • Key upgrades include seven airbags, a full driver-assistance suite, a surround-view camera system, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging.
  • Priced at R457,900, the Tiggo 7 Executive strengthens Chery South Africa’s position in the family SUV segment by pairing strong value with meaningful upgrades.

Chery South Africa is strengthening its commitment to family-focused mobility with the introduction of the new Tiggo 7 Executive, a higher-spec derivative of the Tiggo 7 Prime.

Developed in response to customer feedback and growing expectations around comfort, convenience and in-car technology, the Executive adds a substantial list of upgrades while retaining the design and drivetrain that have made the Tiggo 7 range popular with local buyers.

Positioned as a more luxurious offering, the Tiggo 7 Executive builds on the Prime with a stronger emphasis on everyday usability and occupant comfort. Safety remains a key part of the package, with the Executive gaining seven airbags, including full-length side curtain airbags and a front centre airbag, for greater occupant protection. It also introduces a driver-assistance package comprising lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning and autonomous emergency braking. The inclusion of an electronic child safety lock adds another practical layer of reassurance.

The new model also benefits from a surround-view monitoring system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Combining an overhead view with an underbody visual function, the system is designed to improve visibility when parking or manoeuvring in tighter spaces.

Chery has also added a range of comfort and convenience features intended to elevate the day-to-day driving experience. These include a power-operated panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, synthetic leather upholstery and a 50 W wireless smartphone charger. Both front occupants now benefit from electronically adjustable seats, while the front seats also feature heating and ventilation for greater comfort in varying conditions.

The Executive derivative retains all the infotainment features found on the Prime, including a dual 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and multimedia touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth, and Intelligent Voice Command. A six-speaker sound system rounds out the package.

While the Tiggo 7 Executive carries over the same core design cues as the Prime, it distinguishes itself with high-gloss 18-inch alloy wheels that lend it a more premium look. LED headlights, as with the rest of the line-up, remain standard.

Power remains unchanged. The Tiggo 7 Executive is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 108 kW and 210 N.m of torque, with drive sent to the front wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Combined-cycle fuel consumption is rated at 6.9 L/100 km.

“The Tiggo 7 Executive reflects exactly where the market is heading,” said Verene Petersen, National Marketing Manager at Chery South Africa. “Customers are looking for more than just style and value. They want intelligent safety, modern convenience and features that make everyday driving easier. This model is our response to those expectations, and another expression of Chery’s commitment to delivering safety without compromise.”

The new Chery Tiggo 7 Executive is priced at R459,900. That includes a 5-year/150 000 km vehicle warranty, a 10-year/1 million km engine warranty for the first owner, and a standard 5-year/60 000 km service plan.

This has been further enhanced by Chery’s new Trans-national Warranty Programme, under the Chery Family Care umbrella, which allows owners to access warranty-related support at authorised Chery service centres across Chery’s global markets, giving families added peace of mind whether travelling across Africa or relocating abroad.
