Renault South Africa today announced the introduction of the new Renault Triber Express III LCV, a smart, adaptable light commercial vehicle (LCV) that has been carefully developed to meet the evolving needs of South African businesses, entrepreneurs and fleet operators.

Representing the third generation of its nameplate, Triber Express III LCV builds on the success of the broader Triber range, which was first launched locally in 2020. Since then, the Triber has established itself as a benchmark for intelligent space usage, value‑driven mobility and everyday practicality. These are qualities that now extend confidently into the commercial space with the arrival of the new Triber Express III LCV.

A Modern Take on the Light Commercial Vehicle

The Triber Express III LCV stands out in the light commercial segment by offering a refined blend of robust capability and contemporary design. Its compact footprint makes it ideal for navigating congested urban environments, while its 182mm ground clearance, SUV-inspired skid plates and protective exterior elements ensure confidence on uneven roads and challenging terrains.

Stylistically, the vehicle reflects Renault’s modern design language, featuring projector headlamps, a distinctive front grille and clean, purposeful lines. Roof rails add both visual presence and functional versatility, allowing the Triber Express III LCV to integrate seamlessly into industries where practicality and professional appearance matter equally.

Where Work and Play Intersect

At the heart of the Triber Express III LCV’s appeal is its ability to operate effortlessly at the intersection of work and play. Designed as a capable commercial partner during business hours, it also offers the comfort, technology and ease of use expected from a modern passenger vehicle.

The Triber Express LCV offers a 1500‑litre load area and a 542kg payload, ensuring it can comfortably handle daily transport and delivery demands.

Easy access via rear side doors simplifies loading and unloading, even in tight city spaces, while the intelligently designed cargo area allows for efficient organisation and secure storage.

This flexibility makes the Triber Express III LCV particularly well suited to a wide range of industries, including urban delivery services, hospitality and tourism, service and maintenance operations, and small to medium-sized enterprises seeking a dependable yet refined business vehicle.

Comfort, Technology and Safety as Standard

Inside the cabin, the Triber Express LCV delivers a level of comfort and technology that sets it apart from traditional LCV models. The dual-tone interior, ergonomic layout and modern finishes create a welcoming environment for drivers spending long hours behind the wheel.

A fully digital instrument cluster provides clear, easy-to-read driving information, while the 8‑inch floating touchscreen infotainment system offers intuitive access to media and connectivity features, including Android Auto and Apple Car Play. A rear-view camera is fitted as a standard, making reversing easier, particularly given the blacked-out rear view. Air conditioning, electric power steering and practical storage solutions further enhance everyday usability.

Safety remains a key focus, with dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and a chassis refined to absorb energy during a collision, enhancing occupant protection. Together, these features provide peace of mind for drivers and operators alike, reinforcing Renault’s commitment to safety across its entire product range.

Efficient Performance for Everyday Business

Powering the Triber Express III LCV is Renault’s proven 1.0‑litre, 3‑cylinder petrol engine, producing 53kW of power and 96Nm of torque, paired with a 5‑speed manual transmission. Engineered to balance responsive performance with fuel efficiency, the powertrain delivers low running costs – a critical consideration for cost-conscious business owners and fleet managers.

The lightweight platform and optimised drivetrain ensure agile city driving, while maintaining the robustness required for consistent commercial use in both urban and regional environments.

Peace of Mind Comes Standard

Every Renault Triber Express III LCV is supported by Renault’s comprehensive warranty offering, providing customers with long-term confidence and reassurance.

The Triber Express III LCV comes standard with a standard 5-year/ 150 000km mechanical warranty and a 2-year/ 30 000km service plan, with optional extensions available through Renault dealers nationwide.

This is complemented by Renault’s countrywide dealer network and aftersales support, ensuring customers receive expert service and assistance throughout their ownership journey.

Strengthening Renault’s Commercial Offering

With the introduction of this version of the Triber Express III LCV, Renault continues to strengthen its light commercial vehicle line‑up in South Africa. The model reflects the brand’s philosophy of delivering smart, accessible and locally relevant solutions, while responding to the changing nature of work and mobility.

By combining modern design, intelligent packaging and practical capability in one compact package, this vehicle offers a compelling solution for businesses looking to do more with less, doing this without compromising on comfort, safety, style or affordability.

Proudly Enhanced for South Africa

While the Triber Express III LCV is built on Renault’s globally proven Triber platform, key elements of its commercial specification have been designed, produced and assembled locally. The internal storage cage and optional roof rack system were engineered and manufactured in South Africa, ensuring the vehicle is better suited to local operating conditions while supporting local suppliers, skills development and employment.

This local collaboration allowed Renault South Africa to tailor the Triber Express III LCV specifically for the needs of South African businesses, while reinforcing the brand’s long‑term commitment to localisation through prioritised local sourcing and the empowerment of local suppliers. The result is a product that is not only globally competitive, but also locally relevant and responsibly produced.
