  • Discovery Landmark: New Landmark edition showcases the breadth of Discovery’s talents, with a carefully curated specification including new Tasman blue paint and unique detailing
  • Discovery Tempest: Continuing as the Discovery flagship, Tempest is the most luxurious Discovery ever, with new and exclusive Borasco Grey exterior
  • Discovery S: The perfect introduction to the Discovery line-up, providing versatile luxury, everyday comfort and space for the whole family

The Land Rover Discovery has welcomed a new family member with the introduction of the feature-packed Landmark edition – forming a three-strong line-up alongside Tempest and S specifications.

The Landmark celebrates the essence of Discovery. With a unique specification – including newly introduced Tasman Blue paint and additional features and design details – it headlines a suite of changes to the Discovery line-up.

Introduced in 2025, Tempest remains the pinnacle of the Discovery line-up with specially designed Tempest branding and is now available with Borasco Grey paint for the first time on Discovery. Discovery S remains as the entry point to Discovery ownership with trademark comfort and versatility.

Discovery is the original seven-seat luxury SUV, with British ingenuity, versatility and unique design since 1989. Created for families to enjoy every moment together to never stop discovering. This new trio represents a refreshed Discovery line-up, with a choice of new wheel and paint options providing sophisticated design to go alongside its unparalleled versatility.

Joelle Taylor, Head of Discovery, Product and Services, said: “Discovery is designed for any occasion and any journey, whether it’s a family road trip or the daily school run, delivering confidence, comfort, and capability on every drive. Building on a rich Discovery heritage, the Landmark edition showcases the versatility that has long defined the nameplate. Positioned alongside the Tempest and Discovery S, the range offers a comprehensive line-up designed to meet the needs of every occasion.”

Discovery Landmark

New for 2026, Discovery Landmark celebrates the Discovery family with unique exterior design details and enhanced specification.

For the first time, Tasman Blue paint is available on Discovery, reserved exclusively for Landmark vehicles in a metallic finish. It draws inspiration from the original Clearwater Blue heritage paint dating back to Discovery’s inception in 1989.

Landmark edition stands out with a unique wordmark and mountain logo featured on the front tread plates, centre console, circular B-pillar insert and puddle lamp projectors, paying homage to previous Discovery models which bore the same detailing.

Exterior trim is enhanced by Graphite Atlas accents for the grille, side fender vents and Discovery script on both the front and rear of the vehicle, while front and rear skidplates are finished in Carpathian Grey.

Tying all this together are 21-inch alloy wheels in an all-new Dark Agate Grey finish, adding to an existing line-up of nine wheel choices across the Discovery range.

Landmark’s interior features dark grey brushed aluminium with Landmark branding, while the door casings and dashboard are finished in Tech Velour. The interior is further enhanced by a sliding panoramic sunroof and centre console refrigerator, perfect for family getaways.

Discovery Tempest

Tempest remains the pinnacle of luxurious family exploration; the most comfortable and highly-specified Discovery ever created. Tempest enhances the legacy of one of the brand’s most notable and recognisable models.

Tempest is now available to order in Borasco Grey, a new colour exclusive to Discovery Tempest, joining Varesine Blue and Carpathian Grey. All exterior colours will be finished with a matte protective film as standard, for a distinctive and contemporary appearance.

Like the Landmark, Tempest has unique branding across the vehicle, including the front aluminium treadplates, circular B-Pillar insert, interior finisher and exterior puddle light projection.

Petra Copper accents complete the Tempest design, with contrasting elements applied to the roof, side fenders, exterior Discovery scripts, front and rear tow-eye covers and 22-inch wheels.

Two contemporary new interior options have been added to give Tempest a more modern feel, with the Light Oyster and Caraway seat colours accentuated by Ebony or Light Oyster Extended Windsor leather detailing on the shoulder panels and contrast stitching.

Discovery S

The Discovery S is perfect for everyday family excursions. With Ebony or Light Oyster Duoleather seats, families, friends and pets can enjoy adventures in luxury, style and comfort.

Further family-friendly features for Discovery S include wireless phone-charging, up to nine USB charging points, a spacious cubby box and hidden stowage throughout the vehicle.

Curated accessory packs

Discovery’s line of five curated and ingenious accessory packs continue to set the standard for family, cargo and pet-friendly versatility, helping to bring out the best of the three standout models.

The For Dogs pack ensures cherished pet family members travel in comfort, with a foldable carrier, portable rinse system, spill-resistant water bowl and quilted load space liner.

Biking Adventures accessories feature antimicrobial deep-sided rubber mats, front and rear mud flaps, side steps to assist roof access, a roof mounted cycle carrier, as well as roof cross bars. Catering for all cycle lovers, a two-bike tow bar-mounted carrier is also available.

Beach Days facilitates fun and sunny outings by the sea. The considered selection of accessories includes a roof rack for carrying canoes, surfboards or bodyboards, while rubber mats throughout protect the carpets from splashes and spills. Bespoke sunshades are included for the tailgate and second- and third-row windows, keeping the cabin protected from sun glare, while a collapsible organiser for the load area enhances stowage.

The Road Trip pack features two seat organisers for enhanced small item stowage, while the centre armrest cooler and an electric cool bag are ideal for on-the-go snacks and family picnics. Cross bars and a roof box provide extra luggage capacity, while wind deflectors shift airflow away from open windows to maintain the cabin calm.

Clients can make the most of Discovery’s capability with the Snow Days pack, which includes cross bars for the standard roof rails, allowing for quick and easy transportation of skis and snowboards. The Snow Days pack further enhances life for clients with a passion for winter sports, thanks to a durable and tailored rubber loadspace mat that protects the area from snowy boots, while mudflaps and a snow traction system provide further stability in the most challenging driving conditions.

Exceptional capability

A highly capable and versatile full‑sized family SUV, Discovery is equipped with All Terrain Progress Control that enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed in challenging off-road conditions.

This works in tandem with Terrain Response 2, which offers driving modes that optimise a range of vehicle settings to suit different ground conditions, whatever the terrain or weather. A maximum wading depth of 900mm also provides added confidence.

The entire Discovery line-up can tow up to 3,500kg, with Advanced Tow Assist taking the strain out of difficult reversing manoeuvres.

Discovery vehicles are available with a choice of six-cylinder Ingenium powertrains, including two efficient and powerful diesel engines, D249 and D350, and the P360 petrol variant, depending on market.

Further enhancements

For the first time, Discovery is fitted with a new Driver Attention Monitor1, featuring a driver-facing camera to provide added reassurance. By monitoring the driver’s gaze, the system provides audio-visual alerts to help ensure they are paying attention to the road ahead, and can be adjusted, enabled or disabled using the driver assistance menu.

Pricing

Pricing for the Discovery S starts from R1,824,700; while the Landmark is priced from R2,136,800 and the Tempest from R2,363,000.
