  • New board member announced at DTSA: Piérre Kriek.
  • Leadership transition at DTSA, with a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Piérre Kriek, taking the helm effective 1 November 2025.
  • New DTSA CFO, Piérre Kriek, to oversee DTSA’s financial strategy, ensuring accurate reporting, and safeguarding its financial health.

Daimler Truck Southern Africa (DTSA) is pleased to announce leadership changes within the DTSA Board of Directors, Executive Committee and the Finance & Controlling Team by welcoming Piérre Kriek as the incoming CFO of the DTSA Group, effective 1 November 2025. Piérre is currently Head of Finance and Controlling for Daimler Truck Overseas (DTO), a role he has held since 2022 as a member of the DTO Executive Committee.

Piérre began his career with Daimler in 2000, based in South Africa, where he quickly established himself as a dynamic and forward-thinking finance leader. Over the past two decades, he has held a wide range of leadership roles across the Daimler Truck organization, including multiple CFO positions in diverse international markets such as Europe, Asia, and Latin America. His global exposure has equipped him with a deep understanding of complex financial landscapes and cross-cultural business environments.

In each of his roles, Piérre has demonstrated a strong strategic mindset, driving operational efficiency, enhancing financial transparency, and supporting long-term business growth. His ability to align financial strategy with broader organizational goals has made him a trusted advisor and key contributor to executive teams across the globe. Importantly, Piérre brings with him a profound knowledge of the South African market, having started his career here and maintained close ties to the region throughout his journey. His return to South Africa marks a full-circle moment, and his blend of international experience and local insight positions him as an asset to the DTSA leadership team as it continues to navigate a dynamic and evolving business environment.

“I’m honoured to take on the role of CFO at DTSA and deeply grateful for the opportunity to return to South Africa, a place where my journey with Daimler began 25 years ago. It’s both exciting and meaningful to reconnect with the region that lies extremely close to my heart, while contributing to a business that continues to play a vital role in the local and global  transport landscape. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse markets and cultures, and I look forward to bringing the knowledge and experience gained into this next chapter. I’m committed to supporting the DTSA team in driving sustainable growth, strengthening financial performance, and continuing to build on the strong foundation laid by the leadership team.” Piérre Kriek, newly appointed CFO at Daimler Truck Southern Africa.

Peter Kendzorra, who has served as CFO at DTSA since March 2020, will be taking on a new assignment within the Daimler Truck Finance organization at the end of 2025. He has been an integral part of the DTSA family for more than five years, contributing significantly as a member of the board of directors, DTSA ExCom and the DTO Finance Organization. During his tenure, Peter played a pivotal role in steering the business through a challenging environment, establishing the DTSA Group of companies, and leading the successful listing of DTSA on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He also championed the implementation of several financial process improvements and made valuable contributions across the DTSA Group and the broader DTO Finance community. DTSA management would like to thank Peter for the invaluable contributions he has made and wish him all the best with his new role.

“We are delighted to welcome Piérre Kriek back to the DTSA family. Piérre’s deep financial expertise, global leadership experience, and strong connection to the South African market make him an exceptional addition to our Board of Directors and Executive Committee. We look forward to the fresh perspective and energy he will bring as we continue to grow and strengthen our business,” says, Maretha Gerber, President and Group CEO of DTSA.

She continues: “At the same time, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Peter Kendzorra for his outstanding leadership and dedication over the past five years. Peter has played a pivotal role in shaping DTSA. His contributions have left a lasting impact, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter within the Daimler Truck Finance organization.”

DTSA expresses its heartfelt thanks to Peter Kendzorra for his outstanding leadership and contributions, and in extends a warm welcome to Piérre Kriek. We wish them both continued success in their new roles.
